CEDAR FALLS- Floyd Seth Jordan, 87, of Cedar Falls died at home Tuesday, December 29, 2009 after a lengthy illness.

He was born January 29, 1922 in Waverly, to Orville C. and Maude (Parret) Jordan. He married Darlene Chapman on June 22, 1950 in Nashua.

Prior to serving in the Army during WWII, he was employed by Douglas Aircraft in California. He then worked at Rath Packing Co in Waterloo for 35 years, retiring in 1983.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene; three sons, Jerry (Rhonda) of E. Dubuque, IL, Doug of Summerville, SC, and Mark (Wendy) of Waterloo; a daughter, Colleen (Bob) Blondin of Dubuque; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a brother, Orval Jordan; a sister, Helyn Wienands; and a son-in-law, David Leslein.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
