CEDAR FALLS — Evelyn L. Wilson, 88, of Mallard Point, Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born March 20, 1925, in Black Hawk County, daughter of Henry C. and Clara Borger Miller. She married Kenneth D. Wilson on May 4, 1947, in Hudson. He died April 29, 1994.

Mrs. Wilson graduated from Hudson High School in 1942. She worked for 35 years as office manager at Oral Surgeons in Waterloo, retiring in 1990. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and volunteered for 16 years at Allen Hospital Intensive Care Unit waiting room.

Survived by a brother, Roland F. “Ron” Miller of Waterloo; two nieces, Janet Bergman of Waterloo and Candice (Ron) Steele of Hudson; three nephews, Mark (Melaine) Miller of Waterloo, Mike (Sandy) Miller of Omaha, Neb., and Lance (Joann) Wilson, also of Waterloo; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and a sister-in-law, Vera Mae Wilson of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Scott C. Wilson; and a nephew-in-law, John Bergman

Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation will be for an hour before services Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials in lieu of flowers, may be directed to Allen Hospital Foundation or Zion Lutheran Church.
