CEDAR FALLS- Joseph P. McBride, 84, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, formerly of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, died at the home Saturday, January 2, 2010.

He was born March 31, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Mary McBride. He married Kathleen Tonetti on December 31, 1980 in Bethlehem. She died April 13, 2008.

Mr. McBride served in the US Navy during WWII. He received his BS degree from University of Maryland, and was employed as an Aviation Supervisor with Bethlehem Steel.

Survivors include a niece, Amy (Todd) Hoyer of Cedar Falls; two nephews, George Reitbauer of Annville, PA, and Michael (Lori) Tonetti of Northampton, PA; and great-nieces and nephews, Robert, Colin, Andrew, Brian, Carey and Grace Hoyer, Alyssa Tonetti, and Ryan and Aaron Reitbauer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2010t Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church, with inurnment in Holy Savior Cemetery, Bethlehem, PA.
