CEDAR FALLS — Rowena E. Davidson, 86, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

She was born Jan. 22, 1927, in Waterloo, daughter of Harris and Lucille Hofferd Garrett. She married Donald Davidson on Sept. 4, 1950, in Waterloo. He died Nov. 22, 2009.

Mrs. Davidson received a bachelor’s degree in teaching from ISTC (UNI) and was a homemaker throughout her adult life.

Survived by two sons, Thomas (Michele) of Lino Lakes, Minn., and James (Helen) of Arden Hills, Minn.; two daughters, Jeanne (Eben) Kent of Columbus, Ohio, and Anne (Richard) Halbmaier of Cedar Falls; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, James (Ila) Garrett and Jack (Carol) Garrett, both of Waterloo; and a sister, Carol (Chuck) Foster of Albert Lea, Minn.

Services: 1 p.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Falls, with inurnment at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the church, with rosary at 11 a.m.

Memorials may be directed to the church or St. Patrick Catholic School.
