Thelma M. Stevens, 84, of Friendship Village died Saturday Nov. 24, 2007, at her home.

She was born April 21, 1923, in Waterloo, daughter of Harry O. and Mazie Hinds Faust.

She married Ferd E. Stevens on February 10, 1942 in Lancaster, Missouri. He died October 10, 2000. Mrs. Stevens was employed in the office of Swiss Valley for over 25 years retiring in 1985.

Survivors include a son, Jerald W. (Julie) Stevens of West Des Moines; a daughter Nancy S. (Tom) Graham of Waterloo; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren; a great-grandson; four step great-grandchildren; four step great-great-grandchildren; and a sister Harriet (Herb) Ralston of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her husband and two brothers Donald and Marvin Faust.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church with private family burial at Garden Of Memories Cemetery prior to services. Public visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway.

Memorials may be directed to the Friendship Village Library or to Alzheimers Research.
