Mrs Dora Mable Nicol, 68, of 1815 East Fourth Street, died at 12:30 p. m. Monday in the home of her son, Earl Nicol, Grant Highway, from complications following a stroke of apoplexy suffered Friday. She had been visiting her son for the past week.

Born July 13, 1876, near Denver, la., daughter of John and Etta Heiser, she lived with her parents on a farm throughout her girlhood and was married Oct. 17. 1894, to Albert Nicol in Denver. They farmed several years near Denver and near Waverly, coming to Waterloo 18 years ago. Here her husband was employed as a carpenter for Waterloo, Cedar Falls and Northern Railroad. He preceded her in death Feb. 12, 1944.

Surviving are two sons, Earl A., Grant Highway, and Ralph G., Route 6, Waterloo; two daughters, Mrs. Alliene Gerholdt. 1235 Lincoln Street, and Miss lona Nicol, at home; two brothers, Willie Heiser near Waverly, la., and Frank Heiser, Route 2, Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Rick, near Fmchford. la., and Mrs. William May, 1926 East Fourth street, and nine grandchildren. One son, Harold, died in infancy.

The body was taken to Petersen Brothers Funeral Home.
