EVANSDALE — Ivan John Regenold, 81, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo, of cancer.

He was born Jan. 10, 1932, in Dunkerton, son of Joseph F. and Bessie E. Lamb Regenold. He married Mary Lou Myers on June 10, 1961, in Waterloo.

Mr. Regenold worked for 33 years as a welder and heat treat operator for Viking Pump, retiring in 1997. He also worked for CVS Pharmacy as a delivery man. He was also a longtime volunteer for the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Survived by his wife; three sons, John (Melissa) and Mike (Sheila), both of Waterloo, and Brian of Evansdale; a daughter, Susan (Perry) Myers of Waterloo; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Stephanie, Zach, Christina, Josh and Abby Regenold and Micheal and Elizabeth Myers; two great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Payton Regenold; two brothers, Hurbert of Brodhead, Wis., and the Most Rev. Reggie (Donald Vangor) of Madison, Wis.; and three sisters, Ida (Jim) Anderson of Waterloo, Agnes (Dale) Prine of Barron, Wis., and Bess (Dave) Babler of Phoenix.

Preceded in death by his child, baby Regenold; a sister, Alberta (Vern) Rieter; and a sister-in-law, Marian Regenold.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. vigil. Full military rites conducted by Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and Waterloo AMVETS Post 19. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
