IOWA DEATHS

La Porte City - Mrs. Julia Ann Bagenstos, 81, Sunday of advanced age and complications in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sam Gwynn, 84 Ricker street, Waterloo, where she had lived for the last three years; daughter of John and Ellen O'Brien, born Aug 4, 1865, at Geneva, Ill.; came to La Porte City when a girl to live with her brother after the death of her parents; married to Frank Bagenstos Mar. 3, 1894, in La Porte City, and they continued to live in La Porte City until the death of Mr. Bagenstos in 1942; member of Sacred Heart Catholic church in La Porte City; leaves daughter in Waterloo, two sons, Edward and William, both of La Porte City, and 14 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mary Soper, Chicago; also preceded by one son, one daughter, and six brothers; funeral at Sacred Heart Catholic church Tuesday at 10 a.m.; burial in West View cemetery; body at Johannsen funeral home, where ladies of Sacred Heart church will meet Moday at 8 p.m. to recite the rosary.
