WATERLOO — Loney L. Meyer, 86, of 315 Walnut St., died Monday, Dec. 2, 1996, at Allen Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

She was born March 26, 1910. in Reinbeck, daughter of Wilhekn and Clara Arp Kroeger. She married Walter W. Meyer on June 28.1942. in Waterloo; he died Oct. 30, 1982.

Mrs. Meyer received a bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1936 and later attended Colorado State College and Wartburg College. She worked as a teacher in a number of Iowa communities including Dike, Janesville and Denver. She also worked at Schoitz Memorial Hospital dietary office for a number of years.

Survived by a sister, Hattie Hook of Dysart.

Preceded in death by three brothers: EmiL Hugo and Wilhelm Kroeger; and seven sisters: Ruby Harder, Anna, Wilma and Mabel Kroeger. Laura Stahr, Augusta Lucas and Rosa Arrasmith.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Ascension Lutheran Church, Waterloo, with burial at 1:30 p.m. in Reinbeck Cemetery, Reinbeck, Friends may call from 4 to 8
p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to Ascension Lutheran Church or Project Plus at Black Hawk-Grundv Mental Health Center.
