WATERLOO — Helen E. Herzberg, 85, of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born June 4, 1927, in Red Oak, daughter of Edward and Victoria Anderson Strom. She married Dale G. Herzberg on March 9, 1957, in Bethesda. In her younger years, she worked as a cashier at the Safeway Grocery, Clarinda. Mrs. Herzberg was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Survived by: her husband; a daughter, Dale Ann (Rick) Christensen of Waterloo; a son, Jim of Jesup; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Garden View Chapel Funeral Home, preceded by an hour of visitation, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
