CEDAR FALLS - Francis L. Juhl, 62, of Cedar Falls died Monday, June 8, 2009 at his home in Cedar Falls from kidney cancer.

He was born March 8, 1947, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of Leonard C. and Barbara M. (Darnell) Juhl. He graduated from Cedar Falls High School. On March 14, 1965, he was united in marriage to Linda K. Baker in Cedar Falls. He was employed at Beck & Schuerman's 66 through high school, then with Chamberlain's Manufacturing for one year, and then retired from John Deere as a journeyman machinist in 1998. He then was a self employed truck driver from 1999-2003, spent 3 years at Younkers, and finally was a driver with Fed Ex for three years.

Survived by his wife of Cedar Falls; son, Jeff L. (Jennifer) Juhl of Cedar Falls; daughter, Janice L. (Jeff) Gutknecht of Norwalk; four grandchildren, Justin and Jacey Gutknecht of Norwalk and Jacob and Joshua Juhl of Cedar Falls; father and step mother, Leonard and Jean Juhl of Cedar Falls; and one sister, Helen Mease of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by his mother.

Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, with interment in the Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, where family will be present from 5 to 7 and also one hour prior to the services at the church.
