Death: June 30, 2008Maureen M. Haddeman, 83, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Monday, June 30, 2008, at her home, of pancreatic cancer.
Maureen was born on October 11, 1924, in Waterloo, the daughter of Lawrence and Irene Maguire Dunnwald. She married Elmer Haddeman on January 20, 1942, in Kirksville, Missouri. He died December 8, 1988.
Maureen was employed as a banquet manager at the Ramada Inn in Waterloo and the Holiday Inn in Cedar Falls.
She is survived by a son, Michael (Mary) of Waterloo; two daughters, Susan Ransom of Colorado Springs, and Kathy (Bob) Gendreau of Lexington Kentucky; twenty-seven grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers: Cliff (Dorothy) Dunnwald, Joe (Dorothy) Dunnwald, and Jim (Marcie) Dunnwald, all of Waterloo; three sisters: Pat Delagardelle of Waterloo, Jane (Don) Towe of Carrollton, Texas, and Sister Susan Dunnwald, RSM, of Anamosa.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Patrick and Larry; and by a brother, William Dunnwald.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation also one hour preceding services at the church on Thursday.
