Bernece R. Crimmings, 97, of Waterloo, Iowa, died on Saturday, October 25, 2007, at her home.

She was born on September 9, 1911, in Kingsley, the daughter of Walter and Sarah Haley Fidler. She married James E. Crimmings on May 17, 1941, in Kingsley. He died December 7, 2003. Mrs. Crimmings received her B.A. Degree from Iowa State University and was a home economics teacher throughout Iowa and Colorado for 45 years retiring in 1980.

Survivors include two sons Mike (Aida) Crimmings of Bonita, California, and Tim Crimmings of Mason City; two daughters, Dian (George) Galloway of Sterling, Virginia, and Jody Fitzgerald of Waterloo; ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Harriet Johnson of Columbia, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Angela Fidler, and by three brothers: Harold, Clem and Lawrence.

Services will be held on Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with entombment in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Public visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway and at the church for an hour before services on Wednesday.
