CEDAR FALLS- Norma A. Thompson, 85, of Cedar Falls died Monday, April 13, 2009, at Allen Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 10, 1923 in Gowrie, the daughter of Carl Rudolph and Lola Viola (Gorman) Anderson. She married Dale M. Thompson on July 17, 1943 in Ellsworth. He died January 21, 2000.

She received her teaching certificate from Iowa State Teachers college and taught in country school and later was a homemaker throughout her adult life.

Survivors include a son, Craig Thompson of Cedar Falls; a daughter Chris (Greg) Klein of Peoria, AZ; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lee Anderson of Waterloo.

Service will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Nazareth Lutheran Church Chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
