MIENDERS, WIESE, JACOBY, MOREHOUSE, JOHNSON, WATSON

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Services for Theodore L. Mienders II, 56, of Cedar Falls, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Mienders died of Cancer Thursday morning at University Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.

Mr. Mienders was born August 14, 1926, at Cedar Falls, son of Theodore L. and Johanna Wiese Meinders. He married Katherine Jacoby, Sept. 6, 1947 in Waterloo, Iowa. He worked at Viking Pump in Cedar Falls, and help start the Cedar Falls Community Credit Union, he also got the Union in at Viking Pump. He went on to work for H & H Tool and Die in Cedar Falls, he was a tool maker. he was a veteran of World War II in the Navy, and after the war he joined the Army National Guard. He was a life time member of the Amvets in Cedar Falls.

Survivors include his wife Katherine; two sons Theodore III of Waterloo and Douglas of Waterloo; one daughter Patricia (Donald) Morehouse of Cedar Falls; a brother Daniel Mienders Cedar Falls: two sisters Elizabeth (John) Johnson,Waterloo and Muriel (Willie) Watson of Carlsbad, California; five grandchildren: Christopher and Curtis Morehouse,; Chad Mienders of California;Kevin and Amanda Mienders of Waterloo.

Friends may call at Richardson Funeral Home until 9 p.m. Friday and at the church for an hour preceding services Saturday.

Memorials maybe made to the Church.
