WATERLOO — Kenneth J. Ehrhardt, 76, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002 at Allen Hospital emergency room of natural causes.

He was born. April 22, 1926, in Iowa City, son of George and Henriette Steen Ehrhardt, and was also raised by his mother, Henriette, and stepfather, Roy Rose. He married Betty J. Olson May 22, 1954, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua.

Mr. Ehrhardt served in the US. Navy from 1942-46, was employed by Rath Packing Co. for 16 years, and later worked for Benson Locker for 30 years, retiring in 1991.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Patricia Tann of Waterloo and Joanne Anstutz of Vancouver, Wash.; six grandchildren; and a brother, Carroll G. of West Union.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Ascension Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery Graveside military rites will be by Becker-Chapman Post 138 American Legion and Waterloo Post 1623 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Parrott & Wood Family Funeral Service, an Overton Family Service, and Friday for an hour before services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family or Ascension Lutheran Church.
