CEDAR FALLS - Carl H. Boelsche, 92, of the Lutheran Home, formerly of Waterloo, died at the home Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, of natural causes.

He was born Dec. 14, 1907, in Dutch Creek, Washington County, son of Henry P. and Ema O. Hippe Boelsche. He married Elsie M. Brinkman on May 3, 1959, in Waterloo. She died June 22, 1986. He then married Marie Jensen on Sept. 25, 1987, in Cedar Falls. She died Jan. 25, 1994.

Mr. Boelsche served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was employed as a meat cutter at Rath Packing Co., Waterloo, for 31 years, retiring in 1973.

Survived by three stepsons: Marion Kyle of Milford, Lloyd Jensen of Fullerton, Calif., and Alvin Jensen of Plattsburg, Mo.; two stepdaughters, LaVonne Parsons of Cedar Falls and Elaine Anderson of Cape Coral, Fla.; numerous stepgrandchildren; and three sisters: Margaret Wagner of Dysart, Florence Wiese and Ruth Sonksen, both of Gladbrook.

Preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Marvel Wilts.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Lutheran Home, Cedar Falls, with burial in Garden of Memories, Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Garden View Chapel, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the Lutheran Home.

Memorials may be directed to Nazareth Lutheran Church or to the Lutheran Home.
