QUASQUETON — Cecil L. Wright, 67, of Quasqueton, formerly of Evansdale, died Friday, April 19, 2013, at the Buchanan County Health Center, Independence.

He was born June 16, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, son of Robert H. and Evelyn L. Smith Wright. He married Christine A. Remetch on April 8, 1978, in Evansdale.

He graduated from the Independence High School in 1964. Mr. Wright was employed with John Deere Co., Waterloo, from 1966 until retiring in 1996.

Survived by his wife; five daughters, Robin (Ray) Wilkinson of Independence, Sherry (Curt) Zieser of Rowley, Dawn (Dennis) Schmidt of Waterloo, Brandy Wright of Evansdale and Amy Wright of Quasqueton; 14 grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Jean Olson and Barbara Merritt, both of Cedar Rapids.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Winthrop, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Winthrop.
