WATERLOO — Martha Louise McChesney, 74, of Rockwell City, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, March 23, 2005, at Trinity Regional Medical Center, Fort Dodge.

She was born March 12, 1931, in Kansas, daughter of Sheldon and Viola Olson. She married Millard McChesney Jr. in 1952. He died in 1987.

Ms. McChesney graduated from Burlington High School in Burlington. She was homemaker and worked at a veterinary hospital in Waterloo for many years.

Survivors include a son, Roger (Brenda) of Sac City; two daughters, Janis Strong of Jackson, Ky, and Sandy McChesney of Waterloo; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother of Humansville, Mo.; a brother, James Olson of Waterloo; a sister, Loretta Stephens of Humansville; and brother-in-law and special friend, Melvin Neagle of Rockwell City

Preceded in death by a son, Michael; and a son-in-law, Logan Strong.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City with graveside services at 2 p.m. Friday at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
