Carol Ann Butschy, 56, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, March 28, 2009, at her home.

She was born December 11, 1952, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Merle and Betty (Hormel) Chase.

She was united in marriage to Ross K. Butschy on June 30, 1989 in Nashua, Iowa.

Carol was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Survivors include her husband, Ross; daughter, Michelle (Pete) Gallery; two grandchildren, Aidan and Emilee Gallery; two sisters, Sharon (Lynn) Leitz, and Pam Luhring; a great aunt, Lee Compton; mother-in-law, Glenyce Butschy; sister-in-law, Lynne (Mike) Lent; three nieces and six nephews; and her loyal Doberman, Jake.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Private inurnment will take place prior to services in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, with memorial services to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Green Hill Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
