DEATH CLAIMS CHILD
DAUGHTER OF ATTORNEY ALFRED LONGLEY EXPIRED MONDAY MORNING
Helen Elizabeth, the five-year-old daughter of Attorney and Mrs. Alfred Longley, died at 5:00 o'clock Monday morning following a surgical operation for stoppage of the bowels, preformed eleven hours before at the Presbyterian Hospital.
At 6:00 o'clock the operation was performed and at 5:00 Monday morning the little girl had breathed her last. The attending physician says the heart was not strong enough to withstand the shock.
Little Helen was born in Waterloo and would have been five years old had she lived until Wednesday of this week. She had lived during this time with her parents at 206 Maple Street.
Besides her parents she is survived by a sister, Marion, aged 1 year, and by grandparents, Capt. and Mrs. C. L. Longley, of Vicksburg, Miss., formerly of Waterloo.
Funeral arrangements will await communication with the Longleys in Mississippi.
