WATERLOO — Francis LeRoy Collins, 72, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Country View Care Facility.

He was born April 15, 1940, in Waterloo, son of Lenton H. and Mae Beckett Collins. He married Mary Cornwell on July 25, 1964, in Fair Haven, N.J. She died Oct. 27, 2001.

Mr. Collins graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1957 and was employed with John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 30 years, retiring in 1988.

Survived by: two sons, Matthew (Claudia) of Benson, N.C., and Mark of Hudson; a daughter, Patricia (Dallas) Back of Evansdale; two granddaughters, Dawn and Rebecca Back; a sister, Carol Fleck of Waterloo; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: three brothers, Merle, Gerald and Craig; and a sister, Margaret Pepe.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a 7 p.m. rosary, and for an hour before services Saturday, all at the funeral home.
