EVANSDALE—Services for Mrs Gladys M. Tharp, 78, of 103 Hanson Drive, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with burial in Garden of Memories, Waterloo. She died of natural causes Tuesday morning at Schoitz Memorial Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born Aug. 19, 1903, at Waterloo, daughter of Will and Carrie Adams. She married Raymond C. Tharp Dec. 4, 1919, at Waterloo. He died Feb. 22, 1960.

She was employed at Deere & Co. for many years, retiring in 1967.

Survivors include a son, Benjamin of 1747 Enid Ave.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Keith Adams of California and Kenneth Adams of Florida.

Friends may call at Chapel of Memories West until 9 p.m. Wednesday and at the church Thursday for an hour preceding services.

Memorials may be given to the church in her name.
