EVANSDALE, IOWA - Betty J. Dahlstrom-Snodgrass, 56, of Evansdale, died Monday Sept. 29, 2003, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of a heart attack.

She was born April 28, 1947, in Grundy County, daughter of Lawrence and Rachel Grimmius Barnes. She married Leland Fiscel at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, in 1967, and they were later divorced. She then married Paul Snodgrass in Lansing in 1996.

She had been employed as a secretary at the Black Hawk Labor Temple for IBEW No. 1835 for 17 years and for the past five years was an inside sales rep at Martin Brothers Distributors. She was active in the Waterloo Community Playhouse.

Survivors include her husband; her parents of Grundy Center a son, Kevin (Julie) Fiscel of Wellsburg; a daughter, Sharon "Sharri" (the Rev. Scott) Paulson of Granite Falls, Minn.; seven grandchildren, Samantha, Jonathan, Laurel, Lily, Linden Leif and Leighton; a sister, Dorothy (Dave) Leach of Des Moines; and an uncle and aunt, Loyal "Frosty" and Alice Barnes of Cedar Falls

Memorial services 7 p.m. Wednesday at Parrott and Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service. The family will receive friends for an hour before services Wednesday at the ameral home. Private family burial will be later.
