CEDAR FALLS — Florence R. Truesdell, 97, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born Nov. 1, 1915, in Peru, daughter of William and Lucy (Pace) Pace. She married Raymond Lee Truesdell on May 25, 1941, in Dunkerton. He died Jan. 30, 1979.

Mrs. Truesdell graduated from Weldon High School and Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls. She taught school and was a professional seamstress and wedding coordinator. She was a member of Cedar Heights Community Presbyterian Church, Cedar Heights Woman’s Club, Order of the Eastern Star, Cedar Falls Historical Society, Cedar Falls Garden Club, PEO and was a Girl Scout leader.

Survived by four daughters: Patricia (Don) Kunkler of Grants Pass, Ore., Pamela Truesdell of Minneapolis, Penny (Dean) Becker of New Hartford and Kim (Rusty) Caruthers of Mesa, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by four brothers: Robert, Winston, George and Pat Pace; and a sister, Mary Wolf.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cedar Heights Presbyterian Church. Visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be directed to the Cedar Falls Historical Society or charity of donor’s choice.
