CEDAR FALLS - James A. Barna, 74, of 2221 Main St died Saturday, Nov. 10, 1990, at Covenant Medical Center a? Kimball Avenue, Waterloo, of cancer.

He was born Oct. 10, 1916, in Omaha, Neb., son of Nicholas and Mary Nagy Bama. He married Naomi R. Luck on Nov. 21, 1943, in Muskogee, Okla.

He served with the U.S. Army during World War II He was employed at Deere & Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1979.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Terry of Raymond; three daughters: Nina Jermann and Linda Hansen, both of Waterloo, and Ryta Barna of Cedar Falls; six grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a brother, Nick of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jimmy; a brother George; and an infant sister.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church Cedar Falls, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua Frends may call until19 p.m. today and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, where there will be a rosary at 7:30 p. m.
