CEDAR FALLS — Esther T. Krog, 91, of the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, formerly of Route 4, Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at the home of natural causes.

She was born May 30, 1905, on a farm near Ocheyedan, daughter of Henry Beecher and Bertha Williams Taylor. She married George W. Kroe on June 25,1926, in Dike. He died June 13,1960. Before retiring, she was a teller at the Dike Savings Bank, and she and her husband also farmed for many years in the Fredsville area.

Survived by a niece, Bertie Jepsen of Cedar Falls; three nephews Willis Colville of Mason City, Howard T. Cook of Palm City, Fla., and Ed Cook of Lebanon, Pa.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Luva Colville and Lois Cook.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Fredsville Lutheran Church, with burial in church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, and an hour before services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.
