Funeral services for Ernest F. Braun, 59, of 727 Lorraine Ave., who died of a coronary occlusion Sunday at 5 a.m. at his home, are tentatively set for Wednesday. Friends may call at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Braun was born October 16, 1899, at Oshsenhoff, Germany, a son of Karl and Fredricke Braun. He came to the United States and Waterloo in 1926.
He married Rose Heide June 29, 1929, at Cedar Falls, and since resided in Waterloo. For 14 years preceding his retirement a year ago due to ill health, he was a baker for the Webbeking Bakery. He was a member of the Trinity American Lutheran Church.
Surviving are a son, Robert, student at Iowa State College, Ames, a daughter, Mrs. Richard Reed, Davenport, and a sister, Mrs. Eugene Ehman, of Germany.
There are seven brothers: Paul of 311 Ivanhoe Rd., Gustav of 1116 Cornwall, Adolph of 1136 Cornwall, Albert of Dinuba, Calif., Gottleib of Cedar Falls, and August and Otto, both of Germany, and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents and his wife.
