CARROLL, FITZGERALD, ALMLOFF, MULQUEEN

Funeral services are planned for Tuesday at 9 a. m. at St. Joseph's church for Michael Joseph Carroll, 74, who died a 9:40 a. m. Sunday at the home of a sister, Mrs. Mollie Fitzgerald, 208 S. Barclay. Complications due to old age caused the death.

Mr. Carroll was born May 2, 1884, in Galbally, Limerick County, Ireland, the son of James and Bridget Carroll.

He came to the United States in 1906, and was employed by the Illinois Central Railroad for several years. For 20 years, he was employed at the Tappist Monastery, New Mellory, in Dubuque County, before retiring in 1952, and moving to Waterloo.

He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Surviviors include five sisters: Mrs. Mollie Fitzgerald, 208 S. Barclay; Miss Delie Carroll, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Anna Almloff, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Lena Mulqueen and Miss Margaret Carroll, both of Boston, Mass.

Also surviving is a brother, John Carroll, of Sydney, Australia.

A parish rosary will be recited at O'Keefe and Towne Funeral Home at 7 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
