WATERLOO - Myrle O. Glessner, as, of Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, died there Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, of natural causes.

She was born April 19, 1918, in Fayette County, daughter of Ray L. and Edna J. Trewin Baumgartner. She married Frank J. Glessner Sr. on Feb. 9, 1939, in Waterloo. He died in 1988.

Survived by two sons, James of Waterloo and Frank J. Jr. of Jesup; two daughters, Linda Nicely of Waterloo and Janette Widmann.of Oelwein; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elda Wilson of Oregon and Vera Burroughs of Waukon.

Preceded in death by three brothers: Irving and Neal Baumgartner, and Ellis Wasserford.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel downtown, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday and for an hour before services Tuesday at the chapel.

Memorials may be directed to American Lung Association or to the family.
