CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Services for Dallas Lee Hurlbut, 79, of 2206 W. 12th St., will be at 1:30 .m.,Wednesday at First Baptist Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery in Dike.

Mr. Hurlbut died at 2 a.m. Sunday at Sartroi Memorial Hospital of complications of a stroke.

He was born in Grundy Center, August 9, 1898, son of Doyle and Effie Ranney Hurlbut. He married Leoti Billman on January 22, 1919, in Dike. Before retiring, he ran Hurlbut's Feed, Seed and Coal Company in Cedar Falls.

He was past noble-grand of the Cedar Valley I.O.O. F. Chapter 233 and had been head of all other branches of the order.

He is survived by his wife, at home, one son, Dallas Lee Hurlbut Jr., of 2210 W. 12th St., one daugher, Mrs. Lillian Miller of Fort Worth, Texas, one sister Mrs. Eveleyn Donels of Ames; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Richardson Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Monday.
