Leonard L. Edler

Services for Leonard L. Edler, 79, of 1750 Plymouth Ave., will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Garden View Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mr. Edler died Sunday night at his home.

He was born May 29, 1905, at Fairfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Adler. He married Helen L. Hansen Dec. 24,1934, in Ottumwa; she died last February. He was employed as a meat cutter for Rath Packing Co., retiring after 42 years. From 1925 to 1932 he was a championship caliber prizefighter who won a Knock-Out King title. His ring name was The St. Paul Kid.

Survivors include two sons, Larry L. Edler of 502 McShane Ave., and Dexter Edler. of Independence, Mo.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday.
