WATERLOO — Vera D. McClung, 91, of Waterloo, died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born June 14, 1921, in Benton County, daughter of Ray and Hazel Brallier Burrows. She married Forrest M. McClung on Sept. 29, 1941, in Dubuque. He died Feb. 22, 2006.

Mrs. McClung had worked as an administrative assistant at Powers Manufacturing for nine years.

Survived by a son, David M. (Barbara) of Iowa; a daughter, Sheila R. (Michael) Elliott of Waterloo; a brother, Robert Burrows of Florida; two sisters, Ruby Dodson of San Diego and Darlene Mueller of Dewar; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by five brothers, Leland, Floyd, Leonard, Burdell and Cecil; two sisters, Lois Primmer and Lorraine Taylor.

Private family services will be held at the Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home.
