Funeral services will be a 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home for Kenneth B. Shaw, 89, of 1112 Leavitt St., who died at 7:30 a.m. Monday at the Americana Nursing Home of a heart attack.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Tuesday. Those who wish, may give memorials to the Graves Evangelical United Brethren church.

He was born on March 16, 1877, in Vinton, the son of J. C. and Anna Girch Shaw. He married Anna Humphrey on Feb. 3, 1899, in Van Horn, la. They farmed in Benton and Black Hawk Counties until 1950 when they moved to Waterloo. He was a member of the Graves Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Surviving are two sons, Gerald, 827, W. Third St. and Forrest of 1112 Leavitt; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 1954 and several brothers and sisters.
