DIED—Mr. J. L. Cowley, aged 21 years 1 month and 24 days. Young Mr. Cowley lived with his parents, four miles north on the Waterloo Road. He
was an excellent young man, with an intellectual ambition. He attended college at Waterloo, but for about six months his health failed him, and notwithstanding the skill of Waterloo and Laporte physicians, on last Sunday morning he yielded to the grim messenger.
