WATERLOO - Troy W. Barber, 37, of Marion, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, October 14, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids.

He was born January 15, 1970, in Waterloo, son of Craig and Gail Ann Morgan Barber. He married Amy Schmidt in February 2000 in Waterloo and they were later divorced.

Mr. Barber was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was employed with Speede Delivery.

Survivors include two sons, Tyler and Matthew, both of Cedar Rapids; his parents of Waterloo; two sisters, Angie O'Loughlin (Jim Furnish) of Cedar Rapids and Missy (Mark) Jackson of Waterloo; maternal grandmother, Barbara Morgan of Waterloo; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Virginia Seegmiller and George Barber; maternal grandfather, Gale Morgan; and paternal uncle, Bruce Barber.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at New Beginnings First Wesleyan Church, Hammond Avenue and South Street, where Evansdale AMVETS Post 31 and Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 will conduct full military rites. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
