Funeral services for Jay W, Knepper, 79, of 430 Edwards St., will be at 1:30 p. m. Wdncsday at the Chapel of Memories. Knepper died at 10 a.m. Monday of complications of advanced age.

He was born near Dunkerton May 1, 1880, the son of John and Harriet Dickey Knepper. He farmed in Bremer County until his retirment in 1953, when he moved to Waterloo.

On March 26, 1907, he married Nellie Knapp in Waterloo.

Survivors include a son, Cedil, of Waverly; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Dietz, 912 Newton Street, and Hazel, at home, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a brother, Arlie, of Esterville; and two sisters, Mrs. Leota Porter of Woodburn, Oregon, and Mrs. Iva Porter of Portland, Oregon.

His parents, wife, five brothers and a sister preceded him in death.

Knepper was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church.

Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Mt. Vernon Township.
