Gerald J. Morrison

Gerald J. Morrison, 71, of 4435 Mormon Coulee Road, died Friday, March 3, 1989, in LaCrosse Lutheran Hospital.

He was born Sept. 15, 1919 in Waterloo, Iowa, to Gerald and Emma( Walker)Morrison Sr.

On April 13, 1957, he married Shirley Lencioni in Tijuana, Mexico.

He served in the Navy in World War II. He was a member of Onalaska American Legion Post, a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans of La Crosse.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Diane Underwood of California; a son, Gerald R. of California; a stepson , Carl E. Hoooper of Livermore, Calif.; and two sisters, Dorothy Dittman and Beverly Wiggert, both of La Crosse.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sletten-McKee-Hanson Funeral Home. The Rev. Peter Kelder will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery with military rites conducted by Thomas Rooney of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
