Walter K. Davis, 67, of 1216 Leavitt Street, lifelong resident of Waterloo, and employe of the Herrick Refrigerator company for the past 50 years. He died at 3:45 a. m. Tuesday in St. Francis hospital where he had been a patient for three weeks.
In failing health since last October when he underwent a major operation, Davis died as a result of heart trouble and complications.
Born July 1, 1876, in Waterloo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Davis, he attended west Waterloo schools and in 1898 married Delia M. Woods in Vinton, la. Mr. Davis was employed as a cabinet maker at the Herrick plant for 45 years, and had served as engineer there for the past five years. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Frank L. Davis, at home, and Kenneth W. Davis of Long Beach, California, and a daughter, Mrs. Earl L. Blitsch, 510 Conger Street. Also surviving is a brother, William A. Davis, 1111 Randolph Street.
His wife preceded him in death March 21, 1910.
The body is at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home.
