Services for William A Kortemeyer, 73, of 335 Ivanhoe Road, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edward's Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
There will be a 7:30 p.m. prayer service Monday at Parrott & Wood funeral Home where friends may call. Mr. Kortemeyer died Friday at the Schoitz Medical Center.
He was born June 6th, 1909 at Hazleton, son of Elmer and Edna Yeager Kortemeyer. On June 6th, 1935, he married Marguerite Nemmers in Waterloo. She died in 1973. He founded Bill's Auto and Body Shop in 1946, retiring in 1974.
Survivors include his mother of 502 Campbell Avenue, a son William A Kortemeyer of 3104 Grand Blvd, Cedar Falls, two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Burton of 505 Sheridan Road and Mrs. Judy Bauer of 335 Ivanhoe Road, four grandchildren, two brothers, Dick Kortemeyer at Independence and Elmer Kortemeyer of 3104 Grand Blvd, Cedar Falls and two sisters Mrs. Irma McCarty of 502 Campbell Avenue and Mrs. Eleanor Erickson of Blanding, Utah.
