T. Frank Johnson, 69, of 1903 Fourth Street East, employee of the Rath Packing Company since 1925, died at 7:15 p.m. Saturday in University Hospital in Iowa City. Death was attributed to a rectal fistula. He had been seriously ill only two weeks and had been taken to the Iowa City Hospital Friday morning.

Mr. Johnson, who was employed in the pickle cellar at the Rath plant, had lived in Waterloo for 27 years.

He was born April 6, 1867 at Trenton, N.J. He was married more than 50 years ago in Jackson County, Iowa to Hattie M. Lanpher, who survives.

Surviving besides the widow are two sons, Archie L., at home, and Harry, 623 ½ Iowa street; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Rhodenbaugh, 313 Peck Street; Mrs. Alfred Mulvey of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Jessie Gardner of Portland, Ore., six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Two sons and one daughter have died.

The O'Keefe and Towne ambulance was to go to Iowa City to bring the body back to Waterloo for burial.

His wife's obit gives his full name as Thomas Francis Johnson. His gravestone is simply Frank Johnson.
