JOHNSON, LAMPHEAR, STRAYER, MULVEY

Mrs. Hattie Johnson, 87, died at 8 a.m. today in the Christie Convalescent home in Cedar Falls of complications of advanced age. She had been in the home for four years.

Mrs. Johnson was born August. 31, 1864, in Meadville, Pa., the daughter of Charles and Anna (Strayer) Lamphear. She was married at Monmouth, Iowa, on Dec. 14, 1884, to Thomas Francis Johnson. The couple farmed near Monmouth, moving to Waterloo in 1909. Mr. Johnson died in 1936.

Surviving are two sons, Arch, 527 Saxon street, and Harry, 1425 Burton avenue; one daughter, Mrs. Irma Mulvey, Chicago; once sister, Mrs. Jessie Gruver, 709 Kern street; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are being made at Parrott & Wood funeral home.
