WATERLOO — Cheryl A. Damme, 56, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born Jan. 25, 1957, at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., daughter of Robert E. and Mardell Irma Kauten Damme.

She graduated from Mascoutah High School in Mascoutah, Ill., in 1975. She also completed the medical secretary program at Hawkeye Community College, Waterloo, in 1992. She worked as a waitress at Country Kitchen for many years.

Survived by her husband, Don Kunch of Waterloo; two daughters, Christina (Bruce) Anderson of Waterloo and Robin (Ricky) Booth of Ridgeway, Mo.; three sons: Rob Kunch of Pattonsburg, Mo., Donnie Bacon of New York and Robbie Bacon of Vermont; 10 grandchildren, Caleb, Mason, Demarieo, Andy, Marissa, Miranda, Amber, D.J., Trevor and Kyle; her mother of La Porte City; and a brother, Merrill (Candace) Damme of Washburn.

Preceded in death by her father; and her grandparents.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and for an hour before services Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Cheryl’s family extends special thanks to the Cedar Valley Hospice Home and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for their loving care.
