Margaret Woodruff was born, March 16, 1903, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the daughter of Christian and Anne (Rasmussen) Michaelsen. She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1920. Margaret attended ISTC (UNI) after which she taught schools in Chickasaw County for five years. She graduated from Gates Business College in 1926 and then began her employment at Herrick Refrigerator Company of Waterloo. She worked there from October of 1926 to June of 1972, retiring as assistant sales manager.

Margaret married Theodore (Ted) Woodruff November 15, 1975. He preceded her in death December 27, 1986.

Margaret died, Sunday, October 5, 2003, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, at the age of 100 years.

She is survived by her step daughter, Norma Sue (Bill) Pfeiffer of Indianapolis, Indiana and nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Thorvald, Theodore, Harold and Martin in infancy; three sisters: Thyra Dixon, Dagmar Pedersen and Maren in infancy.

A Prayer Service was 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Lutheran Home Chapel and a Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the church or the Lutheran Home.
