ELK RUN HEIGHTS — Grace T. Huber Roszell, 91, formerly of Elk Run Heights, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Ravenwood Nursing and Rehab Center, Waterloo.
She was born March 6, 1921, on the family farm outside of Protivin, daughter of Joseph W. and Marie “Mary” A. Pecinovsky Pecinovsky She married Norbert W. Huber in 1940 in Protivin. He died in 1983. She married Harold M. Roszell in 1991 in Sedalia, Mo. He died in 2010.
Mrs. Roszell provided child care, worked at nursing homes and retired from the housekeeping department at Covenant Medical Center.
Survived by two daughters, Nancy Curtiss of Sedalia and Jane (Bill) Close of New Hartford; a daughter-in-law, Sharon (Dennis) Daubenberger of Cape Coral, Fla.: eight grandchildren, Jerry Huber, Marie (Phillip) Nixon and Jody (Stacy) Daubenberger, all of Cape Coral, David (Angie) Doyle of Sedalia, Don (Ofelia) Doyle of Missouri City, Texas, Duane (Karrie) Doyle of Syracuse, Mo., Marshall (Cindy) Close of Ankeny and Carrie Close (Paul) Hassel of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; 20 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law: Patty Huber Leitz Berst of Cresco, Phyllis Huber Dotzenrod Lewis of Decorah and Jean Halvorson Huber of New Hampton.
Preceded in death by a son, Gerald W. Huber; three brothers, George, Ernest and infant Eddie Pecinovsky; and seven sisters, Ida Voves, Anna Havel, May Betts, Clara Horn and infants Frances, Caroline and Elsie Pecinovsky.
Family service and inurnment: will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center to support the Activities Department outings.
