CEDAR FALLS — Lynda J. Grapp, 69, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services, Waterloo.

She was born May 7, 1943, in Waterloo, daughter of Lindhart S. and Edna Mohler Mikkelsen. She married Darrel “Rudy “ Grapp on June 8, 1974, in Nashua.

Mrs. Grapp graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1961, received her cosmetology degree from Pitze’s School of Beauty, Waterloo, and her associate’s degree in accounting from Hawkeye Community College. She operated Lynda’s Beauty Salon for many years, then worked at Toby’s Tax, Cedar Falls.

Survived by her husband; three daughters: Angie (Rick) Kendall of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Lisa Orsborn of Cedar Falls and Stacy (Shawn) Weinke of Waterloo; six sons: Doug (Lisa) Rose of Fort Worth, Texas, Steve (Diane) and Stewart (JoEllen) Grapp, both of Cedar Falls, Scott (Barb) and Derrek Grapp, both of Waterloo, and Darren (Shelli) Grapp of New Hartford; 19 grandchildren: Ryan, Joshua, Ashley and Taylor Grapp, Sarah Hellman, Brandon, Lindsey and Jake Taylor, Amanda, Wes, Phillip and Zach Kendall, Julia, Logan, Sydney and Orion Rose, and Kaytlyn, Lauryn and Jaxyn Orsborn; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Larry L. and Donald E. Mikkelsen, both of Waterloo.

Preceded by a brother, Loren A. Mikkelsen

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Service, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
