Archie Leroy Johnson, 73, of 716 McCoy Road, Evansdale, died at the McCready Rest Home early Monday morning of a heart condition.

He was born February 4, 1890 in Baldwin, son of Thomas Francis and Hatty Mae Lamphere Johnson.

On November 7, 1914, he married Hulda Mae Palmer in the Evangelical Church in Waterloo. She preceded him in death on February 25, 1919.

He came to Waterloo in 1909 and worked at Associated Manufacturers for 23 years retiring in 1953.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Robert Fagerlind, 716 McCoy Road, Evansdale; one granddaughter, Mrs. E. J. Winstead, Elk Run heights; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Services are pending at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home.

Services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday at O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home for Archie Leroy Johnson, 73, of 716 McCoy Road, Evansdale, who died Monday morning at the McCreedy Rest Home. Rev. C. W. Oscarson, pastor of the Free Methodist Church will officiate with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
