Elmonda M. Fagerlind, 86, of Evansdale, died at home Friday, April 11, of natural causes.

She was born July 24, 1916 in Waterloo, daughter of Archie L and May H Palmer Johnson. She married Robert Fagerlind on July 25, 1936 in Waverly. He died April 7, 1975.

Mrs. Fagerlind served on the Evansdale Library Board for 25 years and for the last five years up to the time of her death, she was treasurer for Iowa Federated Garden Club. She also taught a senior citizen's craft class.

Survivors include a daughter, Robert (Eddis) Winstead of Elk Run Heights; five grandchildren: Kevin (Lynette) Winstead and Rob (Deb) Winstead both of Waterloo, Shawn (Mike) Trentz of Hiawatha, Todd (Chris) Winstead of Elk Run Heights and Erin (Darrin) Bentz of Evansdale and seven great grandchildren: Nicole, Matthew, Branden, Joel and Nathan Winstead and Garret and Ethan Bentz.

Private family memorial services will be later. There will be no services or visitation. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is in charge of arrangements.
