Charles John Fagerlind, 596 California Street, died at 9:25 a.m. Sunday at Isolation Hospital of complication of diseases. He was 75 years old.

He was born June 6, 1866 in Venersburg, Sweden, the son of Carl and Martha Fagerlind. At the age of 20 he came to the United States, settling in Downsville, Wisconsin.

In 1887 he married Matilda Brostrom of Downsville and in 1923 the family came to Waterloo. Mr. Fagerlind formerly was an employee of the Rath Packing Company.

Surviving beside the widow are four sons, Dewey, 2138 Lafayette Street; Melvin, 237 Mohawk Street; Carl, 1036 Kern Street and Walter at home. There are also 14 grandchildren. A daughter and two sons are dead.

Mr. Fagerlind was a member of Linden Methodist Church.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Parrott & Wood Chapel by Rev. Roscoe B Sires, pastor of Linden Church and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
