Mrs. Amelia Louise Broell, 79, of 911 Burton Avenue, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday morning at the Clay Convalescent Home of complications incident of advanced age.

She was born September 21, 1871 at Seneca, New York, the daughter of Lewis and Emily Allen Miller.
On July 19, 1897, she was married to Edward J. Broell at Fair Play, Wisconsin. With her husband, she came to Waterloo 40 years ago from Council Bluffs, Iowa. Her husband preceded her in death two years ago.

She is survived by three sons: Jack, 536 Dundee Avenue; Louis, 2084 Howard Avenue, and Percy C, San Diego, California; one daughter, Mrs. Glenn Simmons, 911 Burton Avenue; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Her husband, her parents, two sisters, a brother and a son [Guthrie] preceded her in death.

The body is at Kearns Garden Chapel while funeral arrangmets are made. From the Waterloo Daily Courier, Waterloo, Iowa dated January 22nd, 1951.

Final Services for Mrs. Amelia Louise Broell, 79 who died Saturday at Clay Convalescent Home will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Kearns Garden Chapel, Rev. Thomas G. Melton Jr. assistant pastor of First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Broell lived at 911 Burton Avenue.
